
Dialog's Bonnie Snow Honored as Distinguished Member of SLA's Pharmaceutical and Health Technology Division

today that Bonnie Snow, Dialog Director of Pharmaceutical
Market Applications, received the 2006 Distinguished
Member Award from the Special Libraries Association's
(SLA) Pharmaceutical and Health Technology Division
(P&HT). Snow was presented with the award at
a special ceremony during the 2006 Annual Conference
in Baltimore, June 11-14, 2006.
"I am grateful that my colleagues have chosen
to honor me with this award," said Snow. "This
organization has meant so much to me over the years,
and I am pleased that I have been able to contribute
to its goals and objectives."
The Distinguished Member Award given by the SLA
P&HT division honors those members who have made
notable and enduring contributions and service to
the division and the information profession. Criteria
for the award include the individual's career
achievement, emphasizing division leadership and
service.
"Throughout her career, Bonnie has distinguished
herself as a leader in the information industry," said
Jim Colantino, Senior Vice President of Business
Operations, Dialog. "We are proud of her accomplishments
and are delighted to see her recognized for her efforts."
Snow has more than 30 years of experience as an
online educator, author and information management
consultant to the pharmaceutical industry. She is
actively involved in associations for information
professionals, and has been a member of SLA since
1985. As a member of SLA, she has held several positions
within the organization, including Chair of the P&HT
division (1997-1998), Professional Development Chair,
P&HT division (1994-1996), and Newsletter Editorial
Board member, P&HT division (1998-2000).
Snow's career with Dialog spans 26 years.
In addition to her current role as Director of Pharmaceutical
Market Applications, she also has held several other
positions within Dialog, including information management
consultant, pharmaceuticals and biomedicine; sales
director, regional representative; and research information
specialist.
Snow holds a Masters of Science from Drexel University,
College of Information Studies, Philadelphia, and
is a graduate of Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts.
