
Thomson Scientific Invites Future Information Professionals to Apply for Annual Scholarship

today announced that it is seeking applicants from
North America for its 2008 Roger K. Summit Scholarship.
The US$5,000 award is given annually to a promising
graduate student in library and information sciences.
The deadline for the 2008 North American scholarship
award is April 30, 2008. The winner will be announced
at the Special Libraries Association annual conference,
to be held June 2008, in Seattle, WA.

The Roger K. Summit Scholarship is awarded twice
annually, one each to a graduate student enrolled
in an accredited library or information sciences
program in the Americas and one in Europe, the Middle
East, Asia Pacific and Africa.

The Scholarship is named in honor of Dialog founder
and Chairman Emeritus Roger K. Summit, a pioneer

in library or information science programs.

the regional winner after reviewing academic achievement,
faculty recommendations, interest in electronic information
services and proficiency using Dialog® online
